Having problems outsourcing to low cost regions?

Donlouco has extensive experience in managing suppliers in low cost regions. With our quality and engineering staff in many cases, located on-site at the manufacturing locations we communicate directly with our suppliers on a daily basis.

All suppliers are ISO certified as a minimum and are also audited by Donlouco to ensure that these standards are consistently maintained. All parts & assemblies are fully inspected by Donlouco staff before shipping and we also provide a full range of material, production and quality documentation with each shipment.

 

Is product security a concern for you?

Donlouco is fully aware of the problems surrounding product security when operating in low cost regions. We have developed particular strategies when dealing with suppliers whereby the end customers’ identity, the end product and its application is never disclosed at any stage in the supply chain. Donlouco operates strict non disclosure agreements with both customers and suppliers where necessary.

 

Do you need good quality low cost suppliers?

Donlouco has a well established supply chain network of high quality, low cost suppliers for a broad range of custom mechanical parts & assemblies. Donlouco is actively involved with these suppliers on new projects, product commercialisation and cost reduction.

 

Is supplier capability an issue for you?

Donlouco has extensive engineering capability in the areas of design, design for manufacture, manufacturing processes and cost management for mechanical parts & assemblies.

This allows Donlouco to get involved with customers at the product design stage and in many cases offer peripheral design solutions which augments the product design activity, resulting in a greater deal of flexibility to our customers at lower costs.

 

Is communication with overseas suppliers an issue?

Donlouco recognises that one of the major pitfalls in dealing in low cost regions is that of communication. Our local and international resources include professionals fully equipped with the knowledge, expertise and the multilingual skills required to successfully operate in today’s global market.

 

Do you struggle with low volume orders?

Many customers have the view that significant volumes are required to justify outsourcing to low cost regions, however with Donlouco this is not the case.

Donlouco regularly consolidates shipments from its office and warehouse facility in Shanghai. This gives you the customer greater flexibility to secure lower volume orders without incurring premium rates.
