Hydraulic Control Valve Types.
For the hydraulic fluid to be directed correctly into the cylinder, the right type of valve is required. A hydraulic system will not function without the right valves.
There are three main types of hydraulic valves used to control the direction, flow and pressure of the hydraulic fluid, enabling precise operation and control of hydraulic systems in various applications.
Directional Control Valves:
These valves control the flow of hydraulic fluid in different directions. They either stop the flow of hydraulic oil (check valves) or change its direction (spool valves).
Flow Control Valves:
These valves regulate and control the speed of the flow into the cylinder by expanding or contracting the opening at the valve port. The speed of the flow triggers action, allowing the hydraulic cylinder to operate at a constant speed even when the pressure drops in the system.
Pressure Control Valves:
Pressure valves regulate the pressure of hydraulic fluid within a system by expanding or contracting in response to the viscosity of the hydraulic fluid.
Pressure relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, and pressure sequence valves are some examples of pressure control valves.
